I am currently holding a ZECUSDT position that started at $783.90 using 20x isolated leverage.  The position is already in profit. ZEC is trading near $790 after bouncing from the sell‑off. The chart shows a recovery. For me the key question is whether buyers can reclaim and hold above the $790–$794 zone.  The first major level to watch is around $835.86. This area matches a resistance zone and a past price reaction level. If ZEC can break and hold above it with momentum the next target on my chart is near $867.58.  On the downside I am watching the entry and support region carefully. There is also a support around $754.13. Because this is a 20x position risk management matters a lot. My estimated liquidation price is about $749.48. I do not want price to drop below that zone.  The current bounce looks promising after the sharp rejection and recovery from the recent low. However I am not treating this as a guaranteed move. $790 $ZEC —are you chasing it or not? First, look at the surface: the ETF launches, spikes up, then retraces, and retail investors panic. Over the past week, ZEC surged from 570 all the way to 883–888, setting an eight-year high. The whole internet celebrated like, “Privacy coin spring is here!” Then on August 25, Grayscale’s ZCSH officially began trading on the NYSE Arca. That same day it dumped a big bearish candle, bottoming at 754—now it’s stuck around 790. Classic “buy the expectation, sell the fact.” First thing: the ETF is here, but a 2.5% fee tells you institutions aren’t that excited. The world’s first ZEC spot ETF, with AUM of about $310 million and 390k ZEC. Sounds like a big positive? But check the fee carefully: 2.5%. BTC ETFs are usually around 0.2–0.4%—this is 5–10 times higher. Even Grayscale doesn’t seem confident they can attract large institutional inflows at scale, so they’ll earn a chunk first through a higher fee. In the first year, management fees flow back to the ecosystem for marketing—plain English: they’re afraid nobody will buy, so they use money to advertise. Before the ETF launches, they front-run the buying; after it launches, they pump and then retrace. A textbook pattern. Second thing: the NU7 vote is detonating an even bigger bomb. The token-holder vote kicking off around August 25 includes topics such as whether to adjust the issuance mechanism, whether to weaken or cancel the traditional block halving, and whether to switch to a more smooth issuance curve. Only shielded ZEC inside the Ironwood privacy pool are eligible to vote—rumor has it the threshold is on the order of a million coins. If it passes: miners’ security budget improves, but it breaks the narrative of “halving vs. BTC.” If it doesn’t pass: the status quo stays, but pressure on miner revenue continues. Third thing: derivatives overheating has reached a dangerous level. Perpetual/futures OI jumped from 960M to 1.8B within a week—nearly doubled. Positive funding rates mean longs are crowded to the point of suffocation. Once BTC pulls back or macro brings bad news, ZEC’s downside impact will far exceed the move from spot alone. The more crowded the longs, the more brutal the stampede. Trading strategy If you already have long positions (cost below 720): Trim 1/3 to 1/2 when above 830 to bring your cost below 750. If you already have longs (cost 780–820): Cut half at 790–810, keep the remainder to watch 850, and set stop-loss at 748. If you have no position and want to go long: Don’t chase at 790. Wait for a pullback to 750–765, then “strike” after you see rejection candles / downside wicks with volume expansion. Stop-loss 738. Targets 810–850. Or wait until the daily chart holds above 830, then chase from the right side. If you want to go short: Watch whether 808–828 shows long upper wicks plus shrinking volume. Light short with stop-loss at 848. Target 765–730. If 888 is reclaimed with a volume spike, exit immediately.
