PI Network [PI] has shed 15% in a double-digit decline, putting the asset under renewed pressure. However, despite bears currently controlling the short-term direction, the technical setup still leaves room for bulls to regain control. Market sentiment remains somewhat weak, but there is still not enough evidence to suggest that a major decline is on the way. In fact, some indicators are pointing to a different possibility. PI’s support is facing another test PI’s current market structure shows that the asset has been moving inside a bullish triangle pattern, with the latest decline bringing price closer to the lower support line. This diagonal trendline has held up on three previous occasions, preventing deeper declines and helping PI move higher each time. Now, price is making its second attempt to move toward this support level. So far, there has been no breakdown below the trendline. However, if the support fails, the next important level to watch would be the horizontal support around $0.085. For the bullish setup to remain valid, PI could continue consolidating around the current support before eventually breaking above the resistance line. A successful breakout could open the door to a new high on the chart, with $0.103 and $0.110 standing out as possible near-term targets. Still, $PI may need to spend more time consolidating along the support line before making any decisive move to the upside. • Capital flow remains a concern One of the major problems for the bulls right now is capital flow. The Accumulation/Distribution (A/D) indicator and Money Flow Index (MFI) have both moved lower, suggesting that investors are not showing the same level of buying interest seen during previous tests of the support zone. The A/D indicator has continued to trend downward and remains weak, while the MFI is currently below 50, keeping it in the bearish zone. The Accumulation/Distribution indicator is a volume-weighted tracker that helps identify buying and selling pressure, while the Money Flow Index measures the overall flow of buying and selling activity in the market. Interestingly, during the last two occasions when PI traded around the support level marked by the red line, both the A/D and MFI were moving higher. That is not happening this time around. For the market to regain a stronger bullish outlook, the MFI would ideally need to move back above 50. Such a move would suggest that investors are once again rotating capital into the asset. The A/D indicator would also need to push higher to give bulls stronger confirmation and establish greater dominance. • Funding Rate and Open Interest remain supportive Despite the weakness in spot price and capital flow, activity across the derivatives market still looks relatively bullish. Both the Funding Rate and Open Interest have remained supportive, suggesting that traders have not completely abandoned the bullish setup. At the time of this report, the Funding Rate stands at 0.0050, indicating that long positions remain dominant and that traders are still willing to buy PI. Meanwhile, Open Interest is currently around $2.3 million. The Funding Rate could therefore become an important factor in determining whether PI can preserve its bullish outlook in the near term. For now, the $0.085 level remains an important downside area to watch. As long as the key diagonal support holds, the possibility of another upside move remains on the table. But a breakdown below this structure could change the setup and expose $PI to further losses.
