Polygon zkEVM technical leader: Ethereum’s data capacity will increase significantly after EIP-4844

Jordi Baylina, the technical lead of Polygon Hermez zkEVM, stated that data availability cost is a major obstacle and EIP-4844 can alleviate this barrier. After the implementation of EIP-4844, Ethereum's data capacity is expected to increase significantly. The upcoming Ethereum Dencun upgrade is expected to take place in mid-March and is expected to bring significant improvements in the form of "proto-danksharding" through EIP-4844. Currently, the main challenge facing ZK rollups is the cost of data availability.
