Ethereum staking protocol Swell Network will launch the L2 rollup chain and launch the mainnet in the second half of the year
Ethereum staking protocol Swell Network will launch its own Layer 2 rollup chain using EigenLayer’s multiple features. To develop the layer 2 network, Swell will use Polygon’s Chain Development Kit (CDK), powered by AltLayer. The mainnet is scheduled to go online in the second half of this year. This layer 2 network is designed to provide benefits to Swell users, including native restaking yields (via Eigen), better scalability, and lower fees. The network’s designated gas token will be rswETH, and Swell’s upcoming token will be used for governance.
