Solana Eco NFT Platform Metaplex Launches NFT Standard Core
Metaplex, the Solana ecosystem NFT platform, has announced the launch of Core, a new NFT standard on Solana, now available on Devnet. Designed specifically for NFT, Core enables critical data to be stored in a single on-chain account and is designed to reduce compute requirements, increase throughput, and help improve the efficiency of the Solana network. Additionally, Metaplex has announced that 50% of the protocol fees will be used to purchase MPLX tokens and send them to the Metaplex DAO to drive a fully decentralized token economy.
