Ripple releases new version of EVM sidechain bridge on XRPL Developer Network
According to Mars Finance news, Ripple announced two major technical developments for XRP Ledger (XRPL) through its development arm RippleX, involving the launch of a new version of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) side chain bridge in the developer network (devnet) and the update of XRPL Automatic Market Maker (AMM) function. These two improved features are critical to Ripple’s strategy of enhancing XRPL’s cross-border payments and DeFi capabilities.
It is reported that Peersyst Technology and Ripple are collaborating to launch a new version of the EVM sidechain bridge in the developer network, introducing an extensible interface to enhance the interoperability of XRP Ledger in the future.
Additionally, RippleX announced an important update regarding XRPL AMM functionality. The fix to fix the discovered bug has received over 80% consensus and is expected to go live on April 11. RippleX urges node and validator operators to update their infrastructure to rippled version 2.1.1.
