Safe community votes on proposal to enable SAFE token transferability
ChainCatcher news, smart wallet infrastructure Safe community voted to “pass the proposal to enable SAFE token transferability.” Due to safeguards in place, the earliest date SAFE tokens will be transferable is eight days after the end of the voting period, tentatively scheduled for April 23, 2024.
The proposal states that when the SAFE token launches in September 2022, it will be non-transferable and that SafeDAO governance controls the unsuspension functionality in the token contract that can make SAFE transferable. The original SafeDAO proposal (SEP #23) to make SAFE tokens transferable was not implemented due to 73.63% of the negative votes.
