Opinion: The prices of Meme coins BONK and WIF have risen sharply, while DOGE and SHIB have experienced smaller increases
According to CryptoPotato, the prices of Meme coins such as Bonk Inu and dogwifhat have surged, while the leaders Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) have experienced more modest gains. Analysts predict that the asset class may see further gains due to the recent Bitcoin halving, which has historically led to surges in the market. Leading assets including Solana-based Bonk Inu (BONK), dogwifhat (WIF), Cat in a Dogs World (MEW) and BOOK OF MEME (COME) saw daily price increases of 27%, 17%, 23% and 12%. Pepe (PEPE), the third largest meme coin by market capitalization, is up 15%, while Floki Inu (FLOKI) is up about 14%. The largest assets, Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), saw more modest gains. DOGE is up 2%, while its competitors have seen little price change over the past 24 hours. The total market capitalization of the meme coin industry currently exceeds $58.5 billion, a 4% increase from the figure observed on April 23.
