Report: By 2024, the global cryptocurrency holders will reach 562 million, an increase of 34% compared to the previous year

PANews reported on May 31 that Singapore-based payment company Triple-A released a report titled "Global Cryptocurrency Ownership Status in 2024". The report shows that by 2024, the global digital currency user base will reach 562 million people (accounting for 6.8% of the world's population), a growth of 34% from the figure of 420 million people in 2023. Among cryptocurrency holders, those aged between 24-35 years old make up the largest proportion at 34%. The United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Turkey are among the top thirty economies with highest cryptocurrency ownership rates. Asia maintains its lead in terms of cryptocurrency holdings, increasing from $268.2 billion to $326.8 billion, followed by North America with holdings amounting to $72.2 billion.
