The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong, Christopher Hui, visited Lisbon, Portugal on Thursday. He stated that European officials and regulatory leaders were very interested in Hong Kong's regulatory system and effectiveness regarding virtual assets. Both sides shared the challenges they faced in regulation and investor protection. This October, Hong Kong will host the flagship Web3 event and will invite them to attend the Hong Kong Fintech Week and other world-class events to explore cooperation opportunities and showcase Hong Kong's strength and determination in embracing financial innovation at the international level.
