According to Mars Finance, Musk's wholly-owned subsidiary X Payments has obtained money transfer licenses in 28 U.S. states. It is seeking licenses in all 50 states and hopes to launch payment services across the U.S. later this year. Documents show that the X platform initially planned to launch payment functions internationally as early as the beginning of 2024, but this plan was postponed after encountering regulatory resistance.
