All three major U.S. stock indices closed slightly lower, with the S&P 500 down 0.16%, the Dow down 0.14%, and the Nasdaq down 0.06%. Large technology stocks were mixed, Amazon rose more than 2%, Meta, Google, Apple, Microsoft rose slightly; Tesla fell more than 2%, Intel fell more than 1%, Nvidia, Nifty fell slightly. United Parcel fell about 12%, a record one-day drop.
