The number of Hamster Kombat players has exceeded 300 million, and 60% of the airdrop volume will be specifically used for players
PANews reported on July 30th, according to Cointelegraph, that since the launch of TON ecosystem game Hamster Kombat in March 2024, the number of players has exceeded 300 million. An announcement from Hamster Kombat stated that the HMSTR airdrop will become the largest airdrop in cryptocurrency history, with 60% of the airdropped amount specifically for players and the rest used for providing market liquidity, ecosystem partnership relationships and grants, reward squads and other projects. The tokenomics of HMSTR have not yet been announced.
The team behind Hamster Kombat said they did not make any venture capital or early investments in tokens. According to an announcement, this means that the value of tokens will be entirely determined by organic demand: "Since we are not backed by investment companies or venture capitalists there is no additional selling pressure; community-driven tokens and their values will be determined by demand, supply and community interests."
According to an announcement, organizations behind Hamster Kombat also hope to create a broader gaming ecosystem in future: "Our goal is to become a game publishing ecosystem showcasing best-in-class game studios at different scales - from marketing opportunities to token usage and collaboration options." The Hamster Foundation is also committed to creating multiple new sources of income so as it can generate revenue without having to sell upcoming issued tokens. To further improve its gaming ecosystem, The Hamster Foundation may also launch funding programs for third-party developers in future. These plans will be priced in fiat currency rather than HMSTRs so as ensure there's no additional selling pressure on these tokens.
