Avalanche renamed the subnet to Avalanche Layer 1 (L1)
The Avalanche "subnetwork" is now renamed as Avalanche Layer 1 (L1). Avalanche L1 is a blockchain that is typically specific to applications and can be customized to meet specific needs for different use cases. In addition, Avalanche has initiated the community proposal ACP-77, which aims to reform the creation and management design of Avalanche L1, bringing more flexibility and autonomy to Avalanche L1 validators.
