Bostic: We won't have “months” of data before September FOMC meeting
Financial website Forexlive: On the issue of future interest rates, Bostic pushed back a bit, saying twice that he would like to see “a few” or “months” of data. Of course, we won't have “months” of data before the September FOMC meeting. Bostic is a hawk, so his rebuttal is not surprising, but with the market pricing in a 26% probability of a 50 basis point rate cut in September, his rebuttal still sends a hawkish message.
