Polygon Labs: Eggfruit Upgrade Goes Live on Test Network, Main Network in 10 Days
It's official, the Polygon zkEVM testnet is about to receive a new, higher-performing and more stable sequencer, a major technological breakthrough that will not only benefit Polygon zkEVM developers and dApps, but will also have a profound impact on chains built with the Polygon CDK.
The upgrade, called “Eggfruit,” is available on the beta network today, September 20, 2024, and will be officially rolled out to the mainnet beta on September 30 after a 10-day lock-in period. The Eggfruit upgrade will go live on the mainnet beta on September 30th (18:30 NST) and will be available for approximately two hours of maintenance during which time the Polygon zkEVM beta will be suspended.
