On October 7th, Anduro, a multi-chain L2 network incubated by mining company Marathon Digital Holdings (MARA), collaborated with tokenization platform Vertalo to develop Avant, a real-world asset publishing and investment (RWA) project on Bitcoin. They will tokenize whiskey barrels in a pilot project.

Anduro hopes to avoid adopting the RWA gameplay that exists on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains, and instead simply cut and paste it onto the Bitcoin network.

In addition, Marathon's incubation of Anduro may reflect a trend in which mining companies are seeking new sources of transaction fee revenue to cope with the halving of block rewards every four years.
