Uniswap Labs Launches Unichain, Its Own Layer 2 Network Based on Optimism Technology
On October 10th, Uniswap Labs, the development team behind decentralized exchange Uniswap, announced the launch of its own Layer 2 network, Unichain, built on Optimism's OP Stack technology, which is scheduled to go live on October 10th on a test network, with the main network launching later this year. unichain will introduce a number of technological innovations, including a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) for block building, developed in partnership with Flashbots, and a community verification network.
