Trump defended high tariffs with all his might, believing it is a way to stimulate economic growth. In his opening remarks, Trump claimed that he would impose tariffs on imported goods and cut taxes for domestic companies. "For me," he said, "the most beautiful word in the dictionary is 'tariff'."
