Major cryptocurrency company Animoca Brands has announced that it will be purchasing additional WAT tokens from the open market.

“We are announcing our intention to purchase additional WATCoins from the open market.

WATCoin is the utility token for the Telegram Mini App WatBird created by Animoca Brands subsidiary GAMEE.

With the token purchase, Animoca Brands strengthens its commitment to WatBird’s role in supporting the broader TON ecosystem.”

Following the news of Animoca Brands’ investment, the price of the altcoin rose by over 90%.
