The three major U.S. stock indexes closed collectively higher, with the Dow up 0.69%, the Nasdaq up 0.80%, and the S&P 500 up 0.41%. Intel rose nearly 8%, the company's results exceeded expectations, and revenue guidance higher than analysts expected.
