XDC 2.0 Upgrade Launched: Introducing Staking, Rewards, and Token Burning Mechanisms

XDC Network is a blockchain technology solution created by XinFin. XDC Network is a global, open-source, authorized proof-of-stake consensus network (XDPoS) that supports hybrid relay bridges, instant block determinism, and interoperability with the ISO 20022 financial messaging standard. The network's hybrid (private/public) architecture is designed to support institutional use in trade financing and asset tokenization.
 
On December 6th, XDC Network officially launched the XDC 2.0 upgrade, which brings new features such as staking, rewards, and token burning, further enhancing the sustainability and decentralization of blockchain. The upgrade introduces the following key features: core verification nodes, protector and observer nodes; dynamic reward mechanism and inflation control; token burning to promote sustainable development; enhanced security and scalability. XDC 2.0 aims to ensure strong decentralization capabilities and empower modern blockchain application development.

Meta lost a lawsuit in New Mexico, USA. The jury found that Meta engaged in deceptive practices regarding public communications and data privacy policies, violating state laws. The New Mexico Attorney General described the verdict as a "milestone moment" in holding tech giants accountable and will petition the court to impose a maximum civil fine of $219 billion on Meta. Meta stated that it disagrees with the verdict and will continue to defend itself.
