Story Protocol postpones the unlocking of investor and team tokens originally scheduled for February to August
Foresight News reported, citing Bloomingbit, that Story Protocol has postponed the unlocking of tokens for early investors and the team, originally scheduled for February 2026, by 6 months to August, in order to reduce short-term selling pressure and market volatility. This proposal has been approved by major investment institutions such as a16z and Polychain Capital. The board stated that this move aims to avoid anticipatory selling before the unlock and to use the next 6 months to drive revenue growth, PMF validation, and collaboration with major AI enterprises. After the adjustment, investors will unlock 25% in the 18th month after TGE, with the remaining portion released linearly on a monthly basis until the 42nd month.
