Oracle Lands $88 Million Air Force Deal To Power Top Secret Military AI

Oracle Corp (NYSE:ORCL) strengthened its position in both defense cloud computing and enterprise AI this week, securing a new military contract while expanding its artificial intelligence offerings for commercial customers.

$88M Air Force Deal Boosts Oracle’s Defense Cloud Footprint

On Thursday, Oracle secured an $88 million task order from the United States Department of the Air Force to provide its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services for the Air Force Cloud One program.

The agreement supports dedicated data center operations for highly sensitive workloads, including Top Secret SCI and Special Access Program missions, and runs through Dec. 7, 2028.

Through Cloud One, the Department of the Air Force can deploy OCI across multiple classification levels, leveraging Oracle’s security, performance, and resiliency.

Oracle’s National Security Regions—operated by cleared U.S. citizens—ensure compliance with strict federal security requirements.

The setup allows mission teams to use Oracle’s AI Database 26ai to power AI workflows that securely combine internal and public data.

Oracle’s Secure Cloud Computing Architecture also supports boundary protection requirements for the Defense Information Systems Network, reinforcing the company’s role in modernizing military IT infrastructure.

Enterprise AI Expansion Targets Core Business Functions

Beyond defense, Oracle recently expanded its enterprise AI and healthcare cloud capabilities.

The company introduced new role-based AI agents within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to help organizations automate workflows and generate predictive insights across marketing, sales, and service functions.

Built with Oracle AI Agent Studio and running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, the tools integrate directly into existing workflows.

Oracle also rolled out AI agents focused on supply chain operations and introduced enhancements to its Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing platform tailored to process manufacturers.

Analyst Upgrade Reflects Confidence In AI Strategy

DA Davidson upgraded the stock to Buy, citing rising confidence in Oracle’s AI strategy and partnerships.

The firm expects a restructured OpenAI to emerge as a major challenger to Alphabet Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google in AI and believes Oracle stands to benefit from its reported $300 billion agreement with the AI company.

ORCL Price Action: Oracle shares were down 0.26% at $156.75 at the time of publication on Thursday.
