BlockBeats News, February 17, according to Coinbob Hot Address Monitor, the largest on-chain gold short whale "On-chain Stockholder" (0xfc66…) has recently adjusted their positions, closing approximately $17 million in short positions related to the US stock storage sector, while continuing to increase short positions related to gold. Currently, their total short positions in PAXG and xyz.GOLD have reached $44 million.
Due to the spot gold price briefly falling below $4,900/oz today, the gold short positions at this address have fully turned from a floating loss to a profit. By deploying short positions in stocks and precious metals, as well as swing trading cryptocurrencies, this whale has accumulated a profit of $15.4 million this month. Their main current positions are as follows:
5x PAXG (on-chain gold) short: position size about $28.16 million, average price $4,979, floating profit about $320,000;
6x XYZ100 long: position size about $19.3 million, average price $24,567, floating loss about $40,000;
5x GOLD (gold-mapped contract) short: position size about $16.4 million, average price $4,920, floating profit about $670;
20x SOL long: position size about $14 million, average price $84.3, floating profit about $100,000;
It is reported that this address has previously focused on on-chain contract operations of crypto assets, and since January 8 this year has been continuously reducing high-leverage ETH, BTC, and SOL short positions; instead, gradually increasing on-chain stock positions. Their on-chain stock positions have increased by nearly $80 million within a month, with a total position size reaching $117 million.
