Glonghui, February 18|Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos stated that generative AI will assist creators, including accelerating production timelines, rather than harming their employment prospects. Appearing on a program, he said: “AI tools have the potential to greatly enhance creators’ ability to tell compelling stories.” He pointed out, “The likelihood of this happening is much greater than the possibility of creators being replaced by these tools.” However, he noted that a large amount of “shoddy AI-generated work” may not become popular. He expects that consumers will favor the combination of AI and intellectual property. He said: “People will flock to high-quality content.”
