Nick Timiraos: Forecasts show U.S. December PCE inflation rising 0.37% month-on-month
According to ChainCatcher, citing Golden Ten Data, "Fed mouthpiece" Nick Timiraos predicts that the US December PCE inflation (core and overall) will increase by 0.37% month-on-month (annualized rate of 4.5%). This would push the annual rate of the core PCE index up to 3%, the highest level since February 2025. The overall PCE annual rate is expected to be 2.9%, the highest since March 2024.
