According to reports, Meta plans to relaunch its stablecoin project in the second half of this year and has already issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to third-party companies to assist in managing stablecoin-based payment services and developing new wallets. Stripe has been mentioned as a potential pilot partner, as the company acquired the stablecoin firm Bridge last year. Meta previously attempted to launch the Libra stablecoin (later renamed Diem) in 2019, but was forced to terminate the project due to regulatory scrutiny.
