The United States has also set preliminary tariff rates on solar products from Indonesia and Laos: the rate for Indonesia ranges from 86% to 143%, and for Laos it is 81%. The U.S. side stated that these rates are based on the determination of foreign subsidies, which enable exporters from these countries to sell products at prices lower than those of domestic U.S. solar product manufacturers.
