Musalem: Government shutdown may affect CPI, PCE is a better inflation gauge
ChainCatcher News, according to Golden Ten Data, Federal Reserve's Musalem stated that a government shutdown could cause the Consumer Price Index (CPI) to skew downward and this effect may last until April. He pointed out that Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) inflation is a better measurement indicator.
