In 2025, 19% of China's imported lithium concentrate will come from Zimbabwe. It is expected that in 2026, Zimbabwe's lithium resource output will account for 12% of the global total. The country's export ban on lithium ore will lead to an increasingly tight short-term supply of lithium carbonate, which is likely to drive lithium prices up significantly.
