Golden Ten Data reported on March 5 that, as the Middle East war intensifies and fuel supply becomes increasingly tight, Adani Total Gas Limited in India has implemented a double and then double price hike for industrial users on the portion of gas supply exceeding their daily quota by 40%. According to an official before public disclosure, the company has raised the natural gas price for large users exceeding the threshold from 40 rupees per standard cubic meter to nearly 120 rupees. The company mainly supplies natural gas to households, industries, and vehicles. According to an earlier report by Reuters, this price adjustment took effect at 6 a.m. India time (UTC+8) on Wednesday. The official stated that bulk consumers such as industrial and commercial units account for 30% of Adani Total Gas Limited's demand, and this portion of demand is fully met through imports.
