Foresight News reports that the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has recently launched the "Blockchain India Challenge," aiming to promote blockchain-based digital governance solutions. The goal of this challenge is to develop permissioned blockchain-based solutions, with priority given to regulatory control and security (trust, auditability, and tamper-proof records), for application in government scenarios.

As part of the challenge, DPIIT, in collaboration with government departments, will select several startups and provide them with phased funding support to develop ten impactful blockchain-based application cases. These cases will cover ten different categories and serve government departments.
