RBA Interest Rate Expectations Rise
According to a Reuters survey released on Friday, 23 out of 30 economists anticipate that the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) will increase the Official Cash Rate (OCR) to 4.10% on March 17. The remaining seven experts believe the rate will stay unchanged. This outlook represents a change from the previous month’s poll in February, when most analysts expected rates to hold steady at 3.85%.
The consensus now suggests that the cash rate could climb to 4.35% by the close of 2026.

As of the latest update, the AUD/USD exchange rate has risen by 0.12% for the day, reaching 0.7085.
