Golden Ten Data reported on March 13 that Chak Reungsinpinya, an analyst at Malayan Bank (Thailand), wrote in a research report that rising oil prices may benefit Thailand's energy sector and bring higher refining margins. The analyst stated: "The disruption to energy flows caused by the Iran war is unprecedented." Even if the Middle East conflict is resolved within weeks rather than months, energy prices may remain high. The bank has upgraded its rating for Thailand's energy sector from "neutral" to "positive."
