Meta, a component stock, closed down 3.83%—marking the largest single-day decline since October 30. Apple fell 2.21%, Nvidia dropped 1.58%, Microsoft decreased 1.57%, Tesla slipped 0.96%, Amazon declined 0.89%, and Google A dropped 0.42%. In addition, AMD closed down 2.20%, Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares fell 0.38%, TSMC closed up 0.48%, and Eli Lilly rose 0.80%. The "mega-cap" technology stock index fell 1.93% to 360.31 points, approaching the closing levels of 358.32 points on September 30 and 337.25 points on July 14. Compared to the historical closing high on October 29, the cumulative pullback exceeded 14.76%. The index fell 1.91% this week, also showing an overall rise followed by a retreat. Besides Tesla, Google A, AMD, Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Meta Platforms, and Amazon, Adobe closed down 7.58%, Broadcom dropped 4.11%, Salesforce fell 3.24%, Oracle declined 2.54%, Qualcomm dropped 1.01%, and Netflix rose 1.06%. Since 2026, Adobe has accumulated a decline of 28.76%, Salesforce.com, Qualcomm, and Oracle have fallen between 27.21% and 20.21%, while Microsoft, Tesla, and Amazon have dropped between 18.02% and 10.03%.
