Vitalik: The separation architecture between Ethereum Beacon Chain and execution clients should be re-examined

Odaily reported that Vitalik posted on X, stating that the current architecture of Ethereum, which separates the beacon chain and execution clients, should be approached with an open mind. He believes that running two daemons and enabling their communication is significantly more complex than running a single daemon.

Vitalik pointed out that Ethereum's goal is to allow users to use the network in a self-custodial manner while enjoying a good user experience. In many cases, this means running their own nodes, but the current node operation method adds unnecessary complexity.

He suggested that, in the short term, a more standardized foundational packaging solution could enable users to install Docker images of different clients and achieve more convenient communication. Meanwhile, as the LeanEthereum consensus scheme gradually matures, the overall architecture design should also be reconsidered in the future.
