EU weighs naval response as Strait of Hormuz disruption lifts Oil prices
European Union (EU) foreign ministers are meeting in Brussels to debate a potential naval response to the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Some officials have suggested extending the mission toward the Strait of Hormuz. Nonetheless, ministers are unlikely to approve a Hormuz deployment immediately.
The debate followed direct calls from US President Donald Trump for allies, including the UK, France, China, and Japan, to deploy warships to help reopen shipping lanes.
