Bank of America survey: Investor sentiment remains pessimistic, but less so than during the tariff shock in April

Golden Ten Data reported on March 17 that Bank of America's monthly fund manager survey shows that investor sentiment turned pessimistic in March due to the Iran war and concerns about private credit, but current investor sentiment remains far above the level during the tariff turmoil in April 2025. Among those surveyed, only 7% expect the global economy to become stronger, a decrease from 39% a month ago; meanwhile, 45% expect global inflation to rise over the next 12 months, up from the previous level of 9%. However, despite this situation causing Bank of America's comprehensive measure of investor sentiment to drop sharply from 8.2 to 5.6, this figure still remains far above the low point of 1.8 set in April 2025.
