Golden Ten Data reported on March 18 that Japan's Ministry of Finance stated on Wednesday that Japan's crude oil imports cleared through customs in February increased by 16.4% year-on-year. Preliminary data shows that, as the world's fourth-largest crude oil importer, Japan's crude oil imports last month reached 2.64 million barrels per day (11.757 million kiloliters); last month's liquefied natural gas imports were 5.82 million tons, down 0.9% year-on-year; imports of thermal coal used for power generation in February decreased by 1.1% to 8.735 million tons.
