Crude stockpiles increased by 6.2 million barrels over the past week, according to the EIA.
Weekly U.S. Crude Oil and Refinery Report
During the week ending March 13, 2026, U.S. refineries processed an average of 16.2 million barrels of crude oil per day, marking an increase of 63,000 barrels per day compared to the prior week. Refineries were running at 91.4% of their total capacity.
Gasoline output saw a decline, averaging 9.4 million barrels per day for the week. Production of distillate fuels also dropped by 75,000 barrels per day, settling at an average of 4.9 million barrels per day.
Meanwhile, crude oil imports into the United States averaged 7.2 million barrels per day, which is a rise of 772,000 barrels per day from the week before.
