In February 2026, New Zealand’s trade in goods showed the following changes compared to February 2025:

• Exports of goods increased by $27 million (0.4%), reaching a total of $6.6 billion.
• Imports of goods climbed by $728 million (12%), amounting to $6.9 billion.
• The trade balance for the month resulted in a deficit of $257 million.

• Exports of milk powder, butter, and cheese dropped by $105 million (4.8%), totaling $2.1 billion.
• Shipments of precious metals, jewellery, and coins surged by $85 million (63%), reaching $219 million in February 2026.
