格隆汇 March 20|According to a blog post published by Korean media ETNews on March 19, Intel is reportedly planning a comprehensive increase in CPU product prices, with an expected rise of about 10%, driven by the surge in demand for AI inference. The source indicated that this round of price hikes is mainly due to artificial intelligence technology advancing into the "inference" phase, resulting in a sharp increase in workloads that heavily rely on CPUs. x86 architecture manufacturers, including Intel and AMD, are facing tremendous market demand. The report noted that if this price increase is implemented, it will be a further blow to PC manufacturers. The consumer market is currently suffering from shortages of memory and GPUs, and the rapid rise in component costs is the biggest concern for PC manufacturers. If Intel CPU prices go up, manufacturers' operating profits will shrink significantly, and they may even face a survival crisis.
