The global head of foreign exchange research, George Saravelos, wrote that during this crisis, changes in interest rate spreads have not moved in favor of the US dollar, as central banks outside the United States are considering rate hikes. The Bank of England, Bank of Japan, Swedish central bank, and European Central Bank all sent hawkish signals at their press conferences this week.
