On Friday, the S&P 500 index preliminarily closed down 1.5%, with the utilities sector down 4%, the real estate sector down 3%, the technology sector down more than 2%, and the energy sector up 0.2%. The Nasdaq 100 index preliminarily closed down 1.9%. Among its components, nuclear power stock CEG fell 11.1%, Western Digital dropped 7.8%, Seagate Technology declined 5.6%, CrowdStrike fell 5.4%, Diamondback Energy rose 1.1%, and Arm Holdings gained 1.7%. Honeywell preliminarily closed down 3.3%, leading the Dow Jones component stocks lower along with Nvidia and Boeing, while Goldman Sachs, Visa, and VZ each rose at least 0.4%, leading the gains.
