Market positioning has become increasingly one-sided, with options traders turning more pessimistic. At the same time, escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East—especially renewed concerns around the Strait of Hormuz and persistently high oil prices—are adding fresh uncertainty to global markets. In this environment, shifts in risk appetite and inflation trends could rapidly alter the trajectory of AUD/USD. The Australian dollar's recent rally appears to be losing momentum.
