According to the terms of the agreement, Vitol will purchase approximately 1.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas annually for five years from Venture Global’s liquefied natural gas facility in the United States, starting in 2026. This transaction further consolidates Venture Global’s market position as a key supplier of liquefied natural gas in the United States, while also reflecting the global energy market’s ongoing demand for stable and reliable U.S. liquefied natural gas supplies. As a global leading energy trading company, Vitol’s procurement agreement will help optimize its energy supply chain and meet the needs of clients worldwide. The specific transaction amount has not been disclosed, but such long-term supply agreements typically involve multi-billion dollar deals. This cooperation is expected to accelerate Venture Global’s final investment decision process and inject new momentum into the growth of U.S. liquefied natural gas exports.

Previously, due to soaring oil prices, Asian refineries had been considering reducing operating rates. This large-scale supply has to some extent mitigated the supply risks faced by Asia.
