Barclays: Middle East tensions persist, maintaining the US Dollar risk premium

ChainCatcher news, according to Golden Ten Data, analysts at Barclays Bank pointed out in a report that although the Middle East conflict has pushed up energy prices and supported the US dollar exchange rate, the risk premium of the dollar has not decreased. The market still demands a higher premium for dollar assets to compensate for the rising uncertainty in US policy. The analysts said that it is reasonable to expect some degree of dollar weakness in the short term.
