GroLink News, March 24|Samsung has achieved a breakthrough in semiconductor manufacturing, with the yield rate of its advanced 2-nanometer process recently surpassing 60%. This development will enable the company to produce more high-performance chips at a lower cost while also attracting new customers. According to reports, the yield rate of Samsung's 2-nanometer process has more than doubled in just two quarters. In the second half of last year, the process yield was only about 20%, resulting in most chips on the wafer being unusable. Now, with a yield rate exceeding 60%, Samsung has reached a level comparable to TSMC. It is reported that industry leader TSMC's 2-nanometer process yield rate ranges from 60% to 70%.
