China Merchants Energy Shipping states the company has no vessels in the Persian Gulf, tanker freight rates surge

According to Golden Ten Data on March 25, a representative from the Securities Department of COSCO Shipping Energy revealed today that the company currently has no vessels detained in the Persian Gulf. Since the onset of the war, there have been no plans to pass through high-risk areas; instead, alternative shipping routes are being used. At present, tanker freight rates have increased by more than 50% compared to pre-war levels.
